REDAC symposium 2023Pictures from the MUHAS Symposium. MUHAS in collaboration with SickleInAfrica, Sickle CHARTA, REDAC, ASH-CONSA, PEN-Plus and THE LANCET HAEMATOLOGY will host a Symposium with theme "From Newborn Screening to Gene Therapy for Sickle Cell Disease: Challenges and Prospects in Africa". The Symposium will be hosted at MUHAS, Upanga Campus in Dar-es-salaam, Tanzania on Wednesday 12th - Thursday 13th July 2023 and will be moderated in both English and French. The Symposium will be Hybrid (in-person and virtual). Download the Symposium Program. The aim of the Symposium is to bring together key global and regional stakeholders to discuss progress and way forward in advancing the care for Sickle Cell Disease in Africa, and will feature launch of a Special Commission titled "Defining Global Strategies to Improve Outcomes in Sickle Cell Disease: A Lancet Haemotology Commission"
