Mr Reuben Chianumba (Data Entry/Capturer)

Mr. Chianumba is very experienced and trained in the area of data management. Currently a postgraduate student in the department of Medical Biochemistry(M.Sc) University of Abuja, and a Big Data Research Fellow SPARCo Nigeria Hub. He has shown outstanding work ethics and dedication while handling the SPARCO Data Clerk position in the past. He is very proficient in the use of REDCap (Research Electronic Data Capture) online web application.

Dr. Hezekiah Isa (Project Coordinator/Manager)

Dr. Isa is a Senior Lecturer and a Consultant Haematologist at University of Abuja and University of Abuja Teaching Hospital respectively. He was the Nigeria Site Coordinator for Sickle Pan African Research Consortium (SPARCO ) Phase 1 and the Secretary of the Sickle Cell Support Society of Nigeria (SCSSN). He is a member of the Nigerian Society of Haematology and Blood Transfusion (NSHBT) and College of Nigerian Pathologists (CNP).

Prof. Abdulaziz Hassan (Clinician)

Prof. Hassan graduated from the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria Nigeria with an M.B,B.S degree in 2000. He undertook his residency training in Haematology at the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital (ABUTH) and became a fellow (FMCPath) of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria (NPMCN) in 2008. He also obtained a Doctor of Medicine (MD) in 2016.

Prof. Adekunle Adekile (Advisor)

Prof. Adekile graduated from University of Ibadan, Nigeria and had his post-doctoral Fellowship in Pediatric Hematology in Howard University Hospital, Washington DC, USA He was the recipient of the Fogarty International Fellowship in Molecular Genetics at the Medical College of Georgia, Augusta, Ga, USA. He holds several professional fellowships and a PhD from the University of Limburg, Maastricht, Holland.

Prof. Samuel Asala (Research)

Prof Asala is a Professor of Anatomy (Neuroscience and Forensic Anthropology). With 38 years of University teaching, research and administrative experience in Nigeria, United Kingdom, Japan, Zimbabwe and South Africa, he was the Foundation Dean of the Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences and later Provost of the College of Health Sciences, University of Abuja.

Prof. Oyekanmi Nash (Data Coordinator)

Prof Nash is the Director of the Genetics, Genomics and Bioinformatics Department, at NABDA. He is also the coordinator of the Initiative for Translational Research on Tropical and Emerging Infectious Diseases at the NABDA-Southwest Biotechnology Center of Excellence at the University of Ibadan. He is an Assistant Prof to the Biological Sciences Department, Nigerian Defense Academy, Kaduna.
