Summary
The Africa Research Excellence Fund (AREF) is calling for applications from scientists who are active, emerging biomedical/health researchers in Sub-Saharan African countries to participate in its fully on-line Essential Grant Writing Skills Programme. The programme will be held during the weeks of 5th June and 24th July 2023.
Eligibility
Early career researchers, citizen of a country in Africa, awarded a research doctorate (PhD/DPhil/MD) within the previous 6 years, (on or after 1 January 2017) OR a medical/clinical qualificationPLUS a research-relevant Master’s degree, awarded on or after 1 January 2017; currently employed in research institution in Africa; have not participated already in equivalent proposal development / grant-writing training; do not already have a significant portfolio of international research grants (combined value of £250,000 or more.
Application Process
Completed online application form, with signature sheet signed by sponsor/mentor; copy of passport; copies of educational certificates; support letter from sponsor or mentor.
